Animals

Animals have advantages and disadvantages.

It is sometimes nice to have a pet. A cat or a dog can be a good friend and that is important for people who do not have a family or many friends. For this reason many old people have a pet. Moreover, children often learn a lot if they have a dog, a cat or a fish, for example.

On the other hand, there are of course disadvantages, too. Cats and dogs canbe dirty and that can sometimes cause health problems. Furthernore, pets can be expensive; their food cots money and if they are ill you may have to pay a lot too.

In short, I thing it is important to remember that a pet is not only a friend but also a responsibility.
